Colm Meaney, Sienna Miller and Jack O’Connell will star in the West End production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, which has an upcoming summer and autumn run.
Producers of the play revealed Miller and O’Connell as leads in February, and it’s just been announced that Colm Meaney will join them when the show officially opens.
The production of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof will run in London’s West End at the Apollo Theatre from 13th July until 7th October.
Casting
The role of Big Daddy will be played by Colm Meaney who was last on stage in London alongside Kevin Spacey in Moon for the Misbegotten. His other theatre credits include Breaking the Code, The Cider House Rules and Juno and the Paycock. His film credits include Die Hard 2, Dick Tracy, and The Last of the Mohicans.
Other casting includes Sienna Miller as Maggie. She was last seen on the West End as Patricia in Flare Path at the Haymarket Theatre and was previously seen at Wyndham’s Theatre as Celia in As You Like It. Her many film credits include Live by Night, Mississippi Grind, Layer Cake, Alfie, and Casanova.
Jack O’Connell will be playing the role of Brick. His film credits include Money Monster, 300: Rise of an Empire, and Unbroken. His television credits include Skins, United, The Runaway, This is England, Dive and Wuthering Heights.
Synopsis
On a steamy night in Mississippi, a southern family gather at their cotton plantation to celebrate Big Daddy’s birthday. Brick and Maggie dance around the secrets and the tensions that threaten their marriage and with the future of the whole family at stake, the truth will reveal itself with consequences.

The play premiered on Broadway in 1955 with Barbara Bel Geddes and Ben Gazzara as Maggie and Brick. The show came to the UK in 1958.
