The Enchanted Forest - Perthshire’s sound and light show that takes place in the woods – will return this October with a shimmer theme.
The show will take place between Thursday 29th and Friday 30th October and groups attending will be able to see Faskally Wood lit up in bright colours and listen to new orchestral music.
This year’s Enchanted Forest will see the return of creative team Kate Bonney and Simon Hayes as lighting designers, as well as RJ McConnell and Jon Beales who will provide design and composition.
As well as the light and music show, the woods will also be home to a storytelling yurt, where groups with children can listen to tales being told, and there will also be hot food on offer, including mulled wine and hot chocolate.
The show should last between an hour and an hour and a half, during which time groups can explore the forest at their own pace more than once.
There will also be a dedicated charity night on the opening night which will benefit three charities.
Ian Sim, acting chairman of The Enchanted Forest, commented, “Every year our show lights up the countryside of Perthshire and boosts our tourist trade. The show we have planned for this year is remarkable and will prove to be a must-see for visitors.”
Ian added, “As the show goes from strength to strength, so our charitable net widens, which is extremely heartening.”
Last year’s event attracted 62,000 visitors and had to extend its season due to popularity.
This year, more than 65,000 tickets will go on sale on Friday 17th June.
Groups of ten or more will benefit from a £1 discount per adult ticket.
