On 8th November, the doors will open once again for the Thursford Christmas Spectacular; a Las Vegas-style variety show packed with music, song and dance.
The show is suitable for all ages and is set within the village of Thursford in Norfolk. The event sells out annually, and is expected to see over 110,000 visitors visiting Thursford over the festive season.
This year’s show will run from 8th November to 23rd December, including two additional performances to meet high demand. The 2017 cast is packed with West End performers including 130 professional musicians, dancers and singers who will deliver a three-hour performance of continuous music, variety and dancing.
Audiences should expect ostrich feather clad show girls, glistening rhinestones and acrobatics, delivering what organisers describe as ‘nostalgia and incomparable wonder not seen on any other UK stage’.
Further highlights are set to include rides such as Thursford’s traditional carousels and gondolas, a collection of traction engines, and another collection of mechanical organs (which play from 12.30pm daily).
In addition to the Christmas Spectacular, Father Christmas will also make a stop at Thursford with ‘Santa’s Magical Journey’. Not only does the visit include a present for children but on the way to meet him, guests will journey through the world of Santa’s neighbours including his artic friends, the penguins and polar bears, his elves and a snowman family.
