Tina: The Tina Turner Musical will now be taking bookings until next July, it has been announced, with reports of around 200,000 more tickets on sale.
This extended period will take the show up to 20th July 2019 at the Aldwych Theatre in London.
The show, currently starring Broadway star Adrienne Warren as Tina Turner, opened earlier this year to great acclaim. You can read our interview with Adrienne here.
Synopsis: Tina: The Tina Turner Musical
From humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation into the global Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner didn’t just break the rules, she rewrote them. This stage musical, presented in association with Tina Turner herself, reveals the untold story of a woman who dared to defy the bounds of her age, gender and race.
The current West End cast comprises Adrienne Warren, who plays the title role, and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith as Ike Turner.
Fellow cast members include Madeline Appiah, Lorna Gayle, Tom Godwin, Francesca Jackson, Aisha Jawando, Natey Jones, Gerard McCarthy, and Ryan O’Donnell.
The current cast are contracted until 16th March 2019. Details of any changes to the cast will be announced nearer the time.

The producers of the musical are also planning further worldwide productions, following its success in the West End.
