Organisers of the Group Leisure & Travel Awards have moved to reassure guests, finalists and partners that the ceremony is all set for 4th October in Milton Keynes, with convenient and free parking options.
It’s the only national awards celebrating and recognising group travel, and over 250 guests are booked to attend the black-tie dinner and ceremony at the DoubleTree by Hilton at Stadium MK.
The best of the travel trade and group travel organisers will be in attendance as we discover who, what and where has been voted the best for group trips and holidays by readers of Group Leisure & Travel.
Award categories include Best UK Attraction, Best Group Tour Operator and the Group Travel Organiser of the Year® Award.
It’s a big few days for group travel with the Group Leisure & Travel Show taking place on Thursday 5th October at the adjacent Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes.
Rail strikes won’t stop the party
There is a planned rail strike on Wednesday 4th October, which is the day of the Awards Dinner and Ceremony. Rail services will be very limited and so event organisers recommend that guests travel to the venue by car or coach.
Reaching the DoubleTree by Hilton by car is easy and parking is free (car reg details need to be registered at the hotel to avoid parking charges, see event page for details).
National Express also run services to the Milton Keynes Coachway.
You can keep up to date with the disruption to train services via the Avanti West Coast website here and National Rail here.
Group Leisure & Travel publisher, Rob Yandell said: “We had a strike on the day of the awards dinner last year and it didn’t stop us having a great event. We plan on doing the same this time, so make sure you’re there to celebrate, network and party with us.”
