Beautiful- The Carole King Musical is set to tour the UK next year, beginning at Bradford Alhambra on 9th September.
The musical is based on the true events of the singer Carole King and her early life and career as a singer/songwriter.
It tells the story of King’s rise to fame, from being part of a song writing duo with her husband, Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann and becoming a success in the music industry.
Some of Carole King’s most famous songs can be heard in the musical such as: You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman, Take Good Care of my Baby, You’ve Got a Friend, So Far Away, It Might As Well Rain Until September, Up on the Roof, Locomotion, You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling, On Broadway and We Gotta Get Out Of This Place.
Among some of the locations for the 2017 tour announced so far are: Plymouth Theatre Royal, Southampton Mayflower, Norwich Theatre Royal, Southend Cliffs Pavilion, Nottingham Theatre Royal, Belfast Grand Opera House, Wales Millennium Centre Cardiff, Birmingham Hippodrome and more.
