A ropes course called Vertigo Adventures is due to open at Stanborough Park in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, on 25th June.
The high- and low-ropes course is said to be one of the toughest in the UK, with zip-wires, plunges and daring challenges to test thrill-seekers of all ages.
There are several rope trails suitable for varying abilities, and the Monkey Trail is a good starting point. It’s only ten-feet off the ground and has nine elements to tackle like the Sky Islands and the Twin Tube Tunnels.
The next level measures in at 40-feet high. The Hawk’s View area offers participants more than 20 elements such as a Trapeze Walk and a long zip wire. This trail offers a bird’s-eye view of 126-acres of award-winning parkland too.
Adventurers then have to make a decision to either take the Kitten Bridge on the red route, or take the hardest option and go for the Totem Poles on the black route.
Groups can also opt to take a leap of faith and jump from a powerfan platform; this is a bit like a bungee jump but not upside down.
There’s also the chance to enjoy a 50-metre long zip wire called the Flying Fox, or scramble up the Crazy Climb tower.
Vikki Hadnett, Vertigo Adventures’ centre manager said: “Whatever you choose to tackle, this is going to be the ultimate adventure guaranteed to bring out the ape in you.
“With a range of challenges for all ages and abilities, there’s fun and excitement to suit everyone, from youngsters to the real thrill seekers.”
