Waddesdon Manor in Buckinghamshire has announced some of its 2017 season highlights, and groups that take an interest in food and drink will find plenty that appeals.
Feast festival
A food festival called Feast will take place on 17th and 18th June from 10am until 5pm on both days.
The event will see Waddesdon celebrate all things food-related, and feature artisan food and wine stalls alongside decorated tables for visitors to enjoy a picnic at.
There will also be a range of entertainment, as well as activities for all ages.
The Treaterie
New to Waddesdon Manor, the Treaterie is a space in the stables serving freshly made sweet treats and delicacies.
Groups can indulge in crêpes and waffles, ice-cream, cakes, pastries, macarons, fudge and sweets. All are made in-house and served in what’s described as a modern and relaxed setting.
Head to the kitchen
A Manor Kitchen Discovery Talk is also available for groups this year. Experience what life was like in Waddesdon’s historic kitchens while preparing for an 1890s weekend house party, and discover how the fabric of these rooms is cared for today.
This talk includes coffee/tea and pastries and is available from Wednesday to Friday.
Tutored wine tastings
Groups who have a taste for wine can celebrate Waddesdon’s wine collection in a number of tutored tastings.
These range from a simple tasting in the cellars to a more lavish, tutored tasting including lunch or dinner. GTOs can book onto one of these organised events, or arrange a bespoke experience.
