Windsor Castle in Berkshire has launched an exclusive behind-the-scenes evening tour and dinner package, which caters for up to 60 people per group.
The tour gives groups an insight into the castle’s State Apartments before finishing with a four course dinner at the Windsor Guildhall.
What can you see on the tour?
Each private evening tour starts after Windsor Castle has closed to the public for the day, and will take visitors on a journey through 1,000 years of royal history.
Led by an expert guide, you can discover how William the Conqueror’s wooden castle was rebuilt by Edward III as a stone fortress with grand apartments, and why Charles II set out to rival the Versailles of his cousin Louis XIV.
Guests on the exploration of the castle will receive a glass of Champagne, a copy of the official souvenir guide and a 20 percent discount on all merchandise in the castle shop.
Dinner in the Guildhall
Windsor Guildhall is a 17th-century building full of portraits of monarchs spanning 450 years, making for an impressive setting for the four course dinner following the tour.
The ‘feast’ is designed by Goose & Berry with wine from The Vintner, and the table will be full of floral displays.
Group booking information
Groups of between 30 and 60 people can enjoy the Windsor Guildhall dining package at a price which is inclusive of the private evening tour of Windsor Castle.
For groups of less than 30 people a package price can be provided; the minimum number for the tour and dinner package is 15.
