Three Bears Productions has revealed the cast of its Beauty and The Beast pantomime, which will run this winter at the Grand Opera House in York.
Blue singer Antony Costa, model and singer Charlotte Maclachlan, and Home and Away star Lynne McGranger have been confirmed as the lead characters.
They will be joined by Stuart Wade, Debbie McGee and Dame Steve Wickenden, along with actor Ken Morley and musical actress Audrey Laybourne.
Beauty and The Beast will run at the Grand Opera House from Friday 15th December until Sunday 7th January.
About the cast
Antony Costa will hold the protagonist role of the Prince/Beast, marking his second appearance at the Grand Opera House this year, as this autumn he will also star in Ruth Rendell’s A Judgement in Stone.
Lynne McGranger has been cast as Wizadora Crabapple, after playing the Wicked Queen in Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs in 2009 and 2010, and Witch Blackweed in Jack And The Beanstalk in 2003 and 2004.
In his fifth Opera House panto, Stuart Wade will perform as Hudson, the Beast’s manservant, while Debbie McGee will play Adorabella Marigold Angelpie. Audrey Leybourne, formerly one of the Les Dawson’s Roly Polys, will be Potty T Potts.
Belle will be performed by Charlotte MacLachlan and by her side will Dame Steve Wickenden, who will perform as Mirabelle, Belle’s sister, and Ken Morley, who will play Maurice, her father.

Three Bears Productions have been running shows for two years at the Grand Opera House, having made their debut last Christmas with Aladdin.
This year’s production promises new special flying effects, with flying dragon Eragon of York. The show will also include a haunted bedroom scene with ghosts, ghouls and goblins.
