The show has previously had three sell-out UK and Ireland tours and will visit venues including Blackpool Opera House and Milton Keynes Theatre.
Award-winning musical, The Bodyguard will tour the UK and Europe in 2025/2026 opening at Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre on Saturday 20th September 2025.
The Alexandra Theatre will host the tour until Saturday 27th September, before it moves on to Blackpool Opera House, Oxford New Theatre, His Majesty’s Theatre, Aberdeen, Milton Keynes Theatre and Zurich’s Theatre 11. Further dates and touring cast are set to be announced.
Directed by Thea Sharrock with a book by Oscar winning Alex Dinelaris, The Bodyguard had its world premiere at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End and was nominated for four Olivier Awards.
A sell out 18 month UK and Ireland tour followed, before the show returned to the West End at the Dominion Theatre ahead of two further sell out tours of the UK and Ireland in 2018/19 and 2023.
To date, it has played to over 3.9 million people in 15 countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, South Korea, Canada, Italy, Australia, Spain, France, the US, Austria and Japan, and 45 US cities.

Based on Lawrence Kasdan’s 1992 Oscar nominated Warner Bros. movie of the same name, starring music icon Whitney Houston and award-winning actor and film-maker, Kevin Costner, The Bodyguard tells the story of former secret service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer who is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge; what they don’t expect is to fall in love.
The romantic thriller features multiple classic musical numbers including Queen of the Night, So Emotional, One Moment in Time, Saving All My Love, Run to You, I Have Nothing, I Wanna Dance with Somebody and I Will Always Love You.
